    Assist customers in the selection of annual plantings. Advise customers as to benefits of plant choices and alternatives. Maintain the care and growth cycle of plants in area of responsibility to assure proper health, timing, and presentation.

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    Job Qualifications:

    • Able to work independently or with direct supervision.

    • Previous experience growing annuals desirable.

    • Able to make presentations to customers in aspects of gardening of annuals.

    Essential Responsibilities and Duties:

    WORKING CONDITIONS AND SCHEDULE

  • SUMMARY AND SCOPE

    Under supervision of lead, individual creates container plantings per production orders. Incumbent utilizes the available supply of material to complete orders as requested.

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    Job Qualifications:

    • Able to work independently or with direct supervision.

    1. Plant containers, hanging baskets, and moss baskets per pre-designed plans and the remaining custom orders per instructions in the allotted time required.

    3. Report any problems of seedling health or insects to supervisory personnel.

  • SUMMARY AND SCOPE

    Under the supervision of Ground Support Management, individual is responsible for the overall operational and mechanical activities of the Greenhouse. As assigned, individual works with peers and supervisors to facilitate production and maintain optimal greenhouse conditions and assist greenhouse departments and customers.

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    Job Qualifications:

    • Dependable and reliable with flexibility to varying schedules.

    Essential Responsibilities and Duties:

    1. Prepare, supply, and deliver pots, trays, and soil to departments.

    2. Cheerfully assist customers by loading heavy items into vehicles e.g. bulk soil and compost, bagged soil and amendments, trees and large shrubs.

    3. Safely operate the tractor and forklift for varying purposes e.g. loading bulk soil and compost, unloading freight on pallets, and moving pallets of soil.

    4. Monitor electric cart, tractor and forklift for gas, oil, tires, and making sure that equipment and keys are returned to proper location at end of day. Report any concerns to Ground Support Manager.

    5. Support required growing conditions in the greenhouses by removing and replacing plastic film and shade cloth on greenhouse roofs; raising and lowering plastic film walls; opening and closing Cravo walls and roof.

    6. Maintain outdoor grounds through basic lawn care e.g. weeding and mowing, clearing creek of overgrown plant material and trash.

    7. Transport materials to and from the Emmett location.

    8. Assist Construction Manager with repairs and other projects.

    9. Collect and dispose of trash, recycling, and compost throughout Edwards grounds.

    10. Closing and securing greenhouses, offices, cooler, well house, and gates at end of day.

    11. Clean up work area as well as bathroom and breakroom areas when assigned making sure to return tools and supplies to proper location when not in use.

    12. Collect wagons throughout the day and end of day and arrange in the designated area.

    13. Work with employees and customers by maintaining a cooperative and professional relationship.

    This position is primarily responsible for answering telephones, directing calls, delivering messages, retrieving messages, and providing excellent customer service.

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    Job Qualifications:

    • High School diploma/ GED

    • 6 months prior office experience

    • Basic computer skills (Word, Excel, Publisher, Outlook…)

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    Job Qualifications:

    • Minimum of 2.5 years customer service experience.

    • Previous horticulture experience desirable.

    • Knowledge of Treasure Valley and regional gardening practices.

    Individual is responsible for following the supervisor’s directions regarding the activities of transplanting seedlings and plants. Record and document crop reports as defined and required.

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    Job Qualifications:

    • Able to work independently or with direct supervision.

    • Previous transplant experience desirable.

    • Outstanding interpersonal skills, able to practice courteous customer service, and ability to interact with demanding customers.

    Essential Responsibilities and Duties

    1. Quickly and properly transplant seedlings and place in designated area.

    2. Know the code for flat and container sizing.

    3. Perform watering detail as directed by lead and as required by weather and humidity conditions.

    4. Properly tag and identify transplant work according to company policy.

    5. Report any problems of seedling health or insects to supervisory personnel.

    6. Know the Greenhouse areas (letters) and their contents.

    7. Know basic plant prices of packs, geraniums, specialty, vegetables, etc.

    8. Communicate and work with employees and customers by maintaining a cooperative and professional relationship.

    9. Cheerfully assist customers or direct them to someone who can.

    10. Clean up work area, as well as, bathroom and break room areas when assigned.

    11. Perform all other duties as assigned within position authority limitations.

    Additional Functions of the Job:

    • Follow safety policies

    • Assure all performance duty recordings are posted timely and properly in documentation logs.

    • Attend staff meetings and give progress reports to those not able to attend.

    Production Standards:

    • Complete daily duties in a timely manner dependent upon importance and severity of task at hand.

    Machines/Tools Used:

    • Adept in utilizing tools required to accomplish specific tasks.

    WORKING CONDITIONS AND SCHEDULE

    Environment:

    • Indoors/ Outdoors or both in temperature extremes.

    Physical Requirements:

    • Must be able to remain in a stationary position frequently while planting.

    • Frequently moving and placing various plants and equipment throughout the greenhouse weighing up to 50lbs.

    • Position requires frequent movement around the different areas of the greenhouse placing and attending to plants.

    • Constantly detecting and reporting problems with plants.

    • Must be able to identify plant varieties, pest or disease problems, and colors to ensure quality product.

    • This position requires frequent communication with co-workers. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.

    • Constantly positioning self to maintain and service plants.

    • Schedule will vary based on the needs of the department and operating hours.

  • SUMMARY AND SCOPE

    Individual is responsible for the watering and care of plants in the area assigned.

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Previous experience with plants is desirable.

    • Must be an excellent listener with a desire to learn and ability to take instructions from leadership.

    • Computer literacy desired.

    • Outstanding interpersonal skills, able to practice courteous customer service, and ability to interact with demanding customers.

    Essential Responsibilities and Duties:

    1. Observe plants for moisture needs and water product needing moisture according to plant needs.

    2. Inspect and monitor the overall health of the plants and report any concerns to supervisor/management.

    3. Fertilize plants as necessary and know how to use the feeder and alert the Grower/Management if level in barrel is low.

    4. Cheerfully assist customers or direct them to someone who can assist them.

    5. Perform all other duties as assigned within position authority limitations.

    Additional Functions of the Job:

    • Indoors/ Outdoors or both in severe temperatures and humidity.

    Physical Requirements:

    • Must be able to frequently remain in a stationary position when caring for plants and watering.

    • Repetitive movement of pulling a hose and extending arms to water plant material.

    • Frequently moving, attending to and placing various plants and equipment throughout the greenhouse weighing up to 30lbs.

    • Constantly detecting and reporting problems with plants.

    • Must be able to identify plant varieties, pest or disease problems, and colors to ensure quality product.

    • This position requires frequent communication with co-workers and management. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.

    • Constantly positioning self to maintain and service plants.
