Join instructor Grace in our Cutting Garden to learn the fundamentals of a cutting garden, and end the class with a fresh arrangement!
This class will focus on using all fresh, locally garden sourced flowers - that folks can grow themselves. There will be emphasis on techniques for harvesting and using plant materials creatively from your own gardens. Students will take home a beautiful vase arrangement and will possess the knowledge to recreate the bouquets to enjoy or give as gifts.

Ceramic Garden Wall Hanging Workshop

Create a unique wall hanging by pressing 'gifts of nature' into your clay.
Press flowers, greens, twigs, and pebbles into your clay to create a unique wall hanging.
Adults/teens.
All materials provided, but if you have some nature items or anything else you'd like to press into the clay, please bring them. Creations will be clear-glazed and kiln-fired (they'll remain white, to show off your beautiful textures) and ready for pick up two weeks later. Instructor will email you with pick-up date.)

You can DO this! Bring a friend, or meet new ones, and create a lovely wall hanging on a handmade branch loom. This workshop is great for beginners and all levels, especially those that think they are not creative. Adults/teens.--If you've been before, you'll learn something new!
No need to be artistic... beginner-friendly! Choose your own color palette from a large assortment of fibers. All materials are provided, including the branch loom foraged from Boise area's fallen trees.
You're welcome to bring any fibers or objects of your own, too, which can enhance your art and make it more personal...lace, yarns, feathers, twigs, beads, etc.

About the Play
Left stranded on an island after a betrayal, the sorcerer Prospero unleashes a storm to shipwreck his enemies and demand vengeance. But as a web of dark magic, monstrous allies, and ancient spirits tightens around the royal survivors, the stakes rise when his own daughter falls for the enemy’s prince. Prospero must choose between total annihilation or forgiveness. This romantic comedy is a crowd favorite, and one that our Founding Fathers enjoyed during the American Revolution.

In this session, we'll focus on the water element just in time for the Sun's entry into the Cancer constellation. Participants will learn about the significance of retrogrades in astrology, as we consider Pluto's current retrograde through the sign Aquarius. Join us for a relaxing, feel-good morning pressing flowers in the beautiful greenhouse at Edwards. This 2-hour workshop is perfect for beginners of all ages who want to learn the basics of flower pressing. You’ll discover a fun, easy hobby you can continue to learn and enjoy at home.
Each guest will receive a Flower Buddy Press Kit to use during class and take home, with blooms curated by our friends at Hen & Hare Microfarm in Boise. Bring a coffee/tea, sit back and enjoy learning tips and tricks for pressing various types of flowers and foliage, maintaining and storing your press, how to best store your creations and what fun things you can make with them.
No experience needed - just come ready to unwind and get inspired by nature’s beauty.
Included in class:

Ceramic Planter Wall Hanging Workshop

Learn how to hand-build a wall planter with low-fire clay, & use cut flowers, leaves, & bits of nature for beautiful textures. Adults/Teens
Relax, and create! Explore a variety of surface decor techniques using tools and textures to create designs and patterns on your hanging planter pockets. Customize your own design. Adults/teens.
Once dry, the pockets will be kiln-fired, clear glazed (keeping the white finish to show off the wonderful textures), and ready for pickup approx. 2 wks later. Instructor will email you when ready for pick-up at Edwards.
All materials provided, but if you have some nature items or anything else you'd like to press into the clay, please bring them.

Join us for a relaxing, feel-good morning pressing flowers in the beautiful greenhouse at Edwards. This 2-hour workshop is perfect for beginners of all ages who want to learn the basics of flower pressing. You’ll discover a fun, easy hobby you can continue to learn and enjoy at home.
Each guest will receive a Flower Buddy Press Kit to use during class and take home, with blooms curated by our friends at Hen & Hare Microfarm in Boise. Bring a coffee/tea, sit back and enjoy learning tips and tricks for pressing various types of flowers and foliage, maintaining and storing your press, how to best store your creations and what fun things you can make with them.
No experience needed - just come ready to unwind and get inspired by nature’s beauty.
Included in class:
A Flower Buddy flower press kit with instruction book, travel bag and tools designed and made by instructor Tara Dial of Little Studio Collective.

Branch Weaving Workshop
Learn relaxing weaving techniques using a forked branch as a handmade loom! Adults and Kids 7+.
You can DO this! Bring a friend, or meet new ones, and create a lovely wall hanging on a handmade branch loom. This workshop is great for beginners and all levels, especially those that think they are not creative. Adults/teens.--If you've been before, you'll learn something new!
No need to be artistic...beginner-friendly! Choose your own color palette from a large assortment of fibers. All materials are provided, including the branch loom foraged from Boise area's fallen trees.
You're welcome to bring any fibers or objects of your own, too, which can enhance your art and make it more personal...lace, yarns, feathers, twigs, beads, etc.

You will learn how to make 3 types of tea extracts and fermentation, i.e., worm casting tea, LAB (lactic acid bacteria), and PFJ (plant fermentation juice). These methods have been used for centuries to feed plants and soil. Teas are a proven and successful alternative to chemical fertilizers. Take home worm casting tea bags to brew your own worm casting tea extract.

Curbside Books is a mobile bookstore inside a renovated vintage trolley named Trolley Parton. They pop-up at different locations around town, like coffee shops, markets, and neighborhoods.
